This bronze walking male figure has a hollowed torso, and a hummingbird is poised in its void. Part of Denning’s 'Figures with Birds' series, 'The Poet' has a soft, honey-colored patina and appears to be in motion, as does the delicate form of the hummingbird. This work was selected for the prestigious Art in Embassies Program at the US Embassy in Hanoi.
