This weathered steel sphere sculpture is composed of hundreds of individual sections of round bar welded together in a seemingly random pattern of rectangles. The straight lines of the pattern contrast with the roundness of the overall ball shape for a delightful juxtaposition, and the intersecting lines form intricate and playful shadows on sunny days.
The exact sculpture pictured is no longer available, but a similar piece can be commissioned. Commissions are possible in custom sizes, materials or patterns, and with or without an attached low base.
