This sculpture began with a chunk of granite the artist found at the headwaters of the North Saskatchewan River in Canada. Mills added carefully carved wood and a "stream" made of steel. This work inspired the companion piece: Tenuous Fortitude in white Italian marble. Both works evoke "the feeling that we all must have about the weight of human existence and our strength at solving things to support the tipping point." Please inquire for more details.
