Rebecca Johnson's "Landmark" sculpture is carved from a hexagonal column of solid basalt and perched atop a slender, naturally weathered basalt column. One side of the building is left to showcase the natural outer skin of the stone, also visible on the roof. On the contrasting cut and polished sides, Johnson carved entry doors and windows to entice the viewer into the stone's interior. The sculpture parts are pinned throughout and to the square stone base so the work can be placed on a level patio or deck or directly on the ground in your garden.
