On one side of "Mechanism", two equilateral pyramids are intertwined, capturing light in a delicate sky-blue. As you begin to view the sculpture from other angles, smaller pyramids, lozenges and trapezes appear, with all of the interacting forms reflecting through the transparencies, the light suddenly darkening or creating a splash of brightness. It showcases Czech sculptor Josef Marek's extensive experience in glass casting and cold working techniques.
