The figure of Bâtisseur de Cathédrales 3 is in bronze with a dark patina, while the rock is in polished bronze. It is part of a series of monumental sculptures, one of which was acquired by the town of Evreux in Normandie, France, after an exhibition there in 2018. Shown here during the outdoor exhibition Emergence in Pont l'Eveque in 2022, also in Normandie. "This series honors the ingenuity, tenacity and courage of builders who gave us many architectural wonders throughout history." The title is based on the 1938 documentary by Jean Epstein commissioned by the French federation of builders. Photos by Manuel Guillon.
