This cast bronze sculpture of a female figure includes the base as shown. It was built directly in wax using thin sheets of wax that were poured onto wet fabric, picking up the cloth details. The hollowness creates dark shadows, enhanced by at times heavily textured bronze contrasting the smooth areas. One is reminded of a Peter Voulkos piece, powerful, yet more delicately handled. Immediately available.
