Reception for the artist Saturday, December 9th, from 6 - 8pm. Sculpturesite Gallery is pleased to present recent works in glass and metal by acclaimed artist Mary Shaffer who pioneered Mid-Air Slumped Glass in the early 70's. Shaffer is recognized as a significant influence on the American Studio Glass Movement and her works are in important museum collections, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. Shown in this exhibition are works from her Light-Catchers Series, Tool-Pieces and new Blue Riders Panels.
