MARK CHATTERLEY: Mythos
October 13, 2005 - January 7, 2006
"Whether you view Chatterley's sculptures as disturbing existential icons, as I do, or whether you view them as poetic formal studies, as he does, you should definitely view them. Each of these huge clay sculptures is a technical triumph, with an emotionally involving theme that is -obviously- open to broad interpretation."
- Doug McCash, Art Critic, Times Picayune
Mark Chatterley has garnered much recognition for his life size, one-piece ceramic figures with unusual glazes. Mysterious figures allure, unnerve and engage the viewer as they dance, embrace and gaze expressionless at each other.
