An intriguing glass sculpture by Czech artist Josef Marek that surprises by its apparent simplicity, yet elicits wonder at its gravity defying stance. The outside surfaces of the form are polished and smooth, while the inner surfaces exhibits a rich texturing using a new interpretation on the ancient technique of glue-chipping, or tarnishing, adding to the illusionist effect.
