“My work is shaped by current events,” said French artist Cyrille André, in a recent interview during a visit to his studio in Marseille by Sculpturesite Gallery’s owners Brigitte Micmacker and John Denning. “My sculptures reflect our society and may evoke difficult subjects, such as solitude, suffering or the passage from life to death. But even when they are colossal, they are always benevolent.”
Sculpturesite Gallery is pleased to present an exclusive online exhibition of Cyrille André’s sculpture, including an impressive range of sculptures in wood, resin, fur over resin, bronze and aluminum, and polyester resin. In addition, a short video edited by Scott Saraceno, the latest in the series: Inside the Sculptor’s Studio, features the artist at work in his Marseille studio.
This is Cyrille André’s first time being represented by a US gallery, although he has been shown at major US international art fairs in Miami and Chicago. His work can be found in many European and American private, corporate and public collections.
