Sculpturesite Gallery artist Archie Held was awarded for his piece Burden Basket in the 2006 competition for “Best Public Art in America ”. Held placed in the top twenty for this annual nation wide contest juried by Art in America Magazine. Burden Basket is an 18-foot tall bronze and stainless-steel fountain based on Native American woven baskets and engraved with designs chosen by local tribal elders. The piece is located at Sacramento, California 's new City Hall Plaza, commissioned by the Sacramento Metropolitan Arts Commission.
